ESM appoints David Blazquez Vila Head of Business Strategy and Project Management

(Luxembourg) – The European Stability Mechanism (ESM) has appointed David Blazquez Vila to the position of Head of Business Strategy and Project Management.

Mr Blazquez Vila, a Spanish national, joined the ESM in 2014. He supervised the creation of the ESM’s Project Management Office and the successful delivery of the institution’s corporate projects.

He holds a degree in Computer Engineering from UPSAM, Madrid with professional qualifications in Business Administration and Project Management. Before joining the ESM, Mr Blazquez Vila gained 13 years of project management experience in the capital markets and banking sector in Spain, the UK and Latin America.

“David Blazquez Vila will lead the Business Strategy and Project Management division in its mission to further strengthen our organisational performance through business transformation initiatives and strategic planning. David’s knowledge and experience are key in this important area of work, and I am confident that he will contribute to further increasing the overall efficiency of our institution,” said ESM Managing Director Klaus Regling.
