Kalin Anev Janse, Chef Financial Officer, ESM, gave a video presentation "Europe's role in the world" for the DZ Bank Capital Markets Conference in Berlin, Germany on 22 April 2024.

(Washington D.C.) —The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to build on their successful collaboration and further enhance inter-institutional cooperation.

The renewed MoU was signed by AIIB President and Chair of the Board of Directors Jin Liqun and ESM Managing Director Pierre Gramegna on the sidelines of the 2024 IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington D.C. on April 20. The MoU was originally signed in 2019.

Pilar Castrillo, Head of Economic and Market Analysis and Gergely Hudecz, Principal Economist, gave a presentation "Euro area: the outlook beyond resilience" at Bank of America Invostors Roundtable in Washington, DC.

The EU's harmonisation efforts aim to create a more stable, predictable, and efficient insolvency framework. Although full harmonisation may yet seem intangible, a minimum level of harmonisation is imperative for Europe’s financial resilience.
