Violeta Klyviene

Senior economist, Policy Strategy and Institutional Relations

Violeta Klyviene is a Senior Economist at the Policy Strategy and Institutional Relations division at the European Stability Mechanism since February 2023. Previously, Mrs Klyviene was an economist at the European Commission, where she was working on macroeconomic forecasts for Portugal and participated in programme and post programme surveillance missions. Before that, she worked as a senior Baltic economist at Danske bank and Deputy head of macroeconomic analysis and forecasting division at the Central Bank of Lithuania, where she also served as a member of the ECB Working Group on Public Finance.

Mrs Klyviene holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Vilnius University. Her academic research focuses on public economics, dynamic responses of fiscal policy on macroeconomic developments, and energy efficiency effect on growth. She has been published in several international peer-reviewed journals.
