Dušan Kovačević
Dušan Kovačević is a Senior Policy Strategist at the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) working on policy issues related to the ESM strategy and coordinating the institution’s participation in EU forums. Since joining the ESM in 2016, he also worked on institutional governance and evaluations of the financial assistance provided by the EFSF and ESM.
Before joining the ESM, Mr Kovačević worked at the Intentional Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, D.C., from 2010 to 2016 as a policy expert supporting management in preparing and chairing meetings of the Executive Board and other IMF governing bodies. Prior to that, he worked as an investment policy and promotion specialist with the World Bank Group providing technical assistance on improving the investment climate in the Western Balkans and East Africa.
Mr Kovačević holds a master’s degree in International Economics and European Studies from the Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, D.C., and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is a member of the European Evaluation Society.
