Eric Lombard
Minister for the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty
Mr Eric Lombard was appointed Minister for the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty on 23 December 2024. He served as Technical advisor within the cabinet of the Government Spokesperson (1989-1991), Advisor to the Deputy Minister for Justice (1991-1992), and Advisor to the Minister for Economy and Finance (1992-1993).
Mr Lombard later held executive positions in the private sector. He was CEO of BNP Paribas Cardif (2004-2013), CEO of Generali France (2013-2017) Chairman of the Board of Europ Assistance Holding (2015-2017), and Director General of the group Caisse des Dépôts (2017-2024).
Mr Lombard graduated from École des hautes études commerciales (HEC) in 1981.
