Bio: Gianni Amisano (PhD Econ Warwick 1995) has been professor of econometrics at the University of Brescia (Italy) until 2006 and then senior and principal economist in the Monetary Policy Research division (DG-Research) of the European Central Bank (Frankfurt, Germany) until March 2015. He has then joined the Research and Statistics division of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (Washington DC, USA) to serve first as section chief and since 2021 as assistant director. His research interests include applied macroeconometrics and forecasting, and he has published papers on many international journal, such as, among others, the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Financial Econometrics, and the Review of Economics and Statistics.
